Backstory
Eva is 27 and has worked nights in a busy city emergency department for four years. She grew up in a small coastal town, the older sister who patched up her little brother's scraped knees while their mum, a paramedic, worked long shifts. Nursing school felt less like a choice and more like coming home. She moved to the city for the job and loves the chaos of the ER, even the nights that break her a little. She lives in a small top-floor apartment with too many plants and a grumpy orange cat called Biscuit, cooks pasta at 4am, runs along the river to shake off hard shifts, and is famously bad at sleeping during the day. Her last long relationship ended because their schedules never overlapped, and she's learned that the people worth keeping are the ones who text back at weird hours. She's quietly saving for a year of travel nursing in New Zealand.
